Open call to the Fifth Animation Contest La Moira, 2005-2006 edition


GUIDELINES

1. It is open to anyone interested of any age or nationality.

2. The topic of the contests is open to all genres, modes and methods of expression, made in the format of animation of any type. The generated work by the participants does not have a time limit or a theme censure.

3. Send in any one of the following formats VHS (NTSC), S-VHS (NTSC), CD-ROM, or DVD (Any region) before the 20th of December 2004. The rights and copyrights to the work remain the author's, but the physical material sent (videos, packaging, cds, paper, informative material) will become property of La Moira. Send to:

2. A letter should be sent that includes a) a text expressing the interest of participating in the Second Animation Contest La Moira and the permission to use the artistic material that is sent for exhibition and promotion. b) The conditions under which the animation was made (professional, school, experimentation, etc.) and the date when the the work was finished. c) Credits of the people responsible for the video/film and their signatures (in the case of minors, the letter must be signed by their parents or tutor), d) correspondance information of participants: address, phone, e-mail, etc.

3. The awards are limited to a diploma of recognition of their work stating their position awarded in the contest, also signaling their participation in the contest. There are two predetermined awards: <1> Best Animation (judge's vote) <2> Best animation (popular vote - of those who attend the inauguration). Other awards shall be given according to the variety of genres and levels of expertise of the entrees.

4. The jury will be composed of renowned artists who have previously exhibited their work at La Moira and/or animation experts or professionals. Their decision is final.

5. Entrees will be disqualified if they contain images whose copyright belong to someone else from those of the creative team, unless a copy of the copyright loan is sent.
